Pediatric Care

In collaboration with ONLUS Children's Charity, an Italian NGO, we offer free pediatric services two days a week. We work with Dr. Sandra Acajabon, a pediatrician and licensed pediatric homeopath, who provides care to newborns, infants, and young children. In each consult, Dr. Acajabon educates parents on their children's health and well-being and monitors children for malnutrition. Dr. Acajabon's presence at Manos Abiertas allows us to provide continuous care for women who give birth at our clinic, as well as much needed care for families in the area. Two mornings a week Dr. Acajabón gives free consults in our Ciudad Vieja clinic. She does monitoring of healthy children as well as consults for children with health problems. Our waiting room is packed the days Sandra holds her clinic!
